Hey guys! As explained in my Aggregate Leader post a week ago, I’ve been caught up with real life âproblems. Thankfully, the sub meta (and the list themselves) did not drastically change over the course of the last 6 weeks, save for a few ultra-rare cards from new seasonal/collab REM. Thus, the spotlight this week belongs to Valentines Ney from the new Valentines Seasonal REM over on the JP server.
Actually, before I talk about Ney, I want to briefly go over the changes in the Aggregate Sub List, in which Light Ideal overtook Amatsu for the #1 spot. In my opinion, these “small” shifts in placements on the Aggregate List happens frequently. The thing is, the FUA (resolve-killer) awakening is becoming a lot more accessible (and the fact that some of the new content doesn’t require FUA), that Amatsu’s value is becoming somewhat less apparent, which may explain his slight downward placement. Heck, I don’t think Odin Dragon was regarded super highly before the release of Alt Arena! In short, the Sub lists that Game8, GameWith, and Altema have come up with is influenced by the state of the current content releases, so slight moves like this one shouldn’t be taken as a sign of meta shift.
Enough small talk… It’s all about Valentines Ney: Rolled at a 1.5% rate from the Valentines Gacha, she boasts all of the firepower from her normal counterpart, and additionally has a Void Box awakening despite not being a “Pixel” evolution and not a “Super Awakening”. On top of this, she is given a very nice active skill (clear awoken and normal bind by 5 turns + tri-color orb change), which is complemented by her unbindable and damage awakenings. Finally, her Balance typing gives her access to all latent killer awakenings. All of this combined, means that she is a very flexible base sub that can deal some hurt and deal with damage voids, and will fit right into the combo-heavy meta we have at the moment.
While Valentines Ney is ranked only #5 at the moment on our Aggregate Sub list, I believe she may very well climb the ranks as she gets showcased more throughout the Valentines event.
That being said, it is up to your own discretion whether you want to roll for her at 1.5% rate, which maths up to 4 85-stone packs for its expected value…
Happy PADing and good luck!?
Directed at EVERYONE, and not just the newer players:
DISCLAIMER: (quoted from SetsuPAD)
â”Do not take these ratings as facts; I encourage you to simply take them as a starting point for discussion to figure out which subs are actually the best for your specific situation.”
Cards you own that are not on these Tier Lists are not automatically nonviable, and cards you own that are on these Tier Lists are not automatically viable.
The Subs below mostly accompany top combo/colour leads, such as the leaders from my “JP Aggregate Leader List” posts. They boast tremendous firepower through their multiple 7c awakenings and/or have valuable killer awakenings (such as God, dragon, devil killers). HOWEVER, they are not universal; all subs should be built around your leader, and more importantly the DUNGEON you are tackling. Which goes back to my main point: “Donât take these ratings as fact; I encourage you to simply take them as a starting point for discussion to figure out which subs are actually the best for your specific situation.”
