Hey everyone. Have had life troubles again hence another late post this time. But I know you’re not here for another life story, so let’s get going:
The discussions has been running rampant in the last day or so, due to JP PAD announcing huge revamps and giveaways! I won’t be talking about it in this post because I believe other content creators have already done it better, but if it’s something you guys I want, I can write a separate post for it.
Since last time, notably we’ve had the addition of the Halloween Seasonal REM, a new card tradeable with rainbow event medals, and saw the return of the Fullmetal Alchemist Collab. Each of these brought about new changes to the Leader List, which I will detail below.
Halloween Cotton (plus Halloween REM)
Added as a Tier 3 on our Aggregate Leader List, her new addition to the Halloween REM honestly brings little value to the REM itself. Cotton herself is nice and follows the “meta card” template: Balanced typing, synergistic active skill (Unlock + board change), 3 7c + FUA awakening, decent leader skill at 12x ATK multiplier with double 25% shield by herself. Honestly just missing that unbindable awakening and she’d be even better. Although, she still pales in comparison to the 4x HP meta that we’re having right now. Her double shield requires constant 7 combos and light + dark orb match. Basically less reliable (esp. in the face of Alt Arena and its many hazards). Could see her fall off to Tier 4 or out of the list completely in the coming months.
And speaking of Halloween REM, the lineup this year is pretty terrible in comparison. The only gem this time around are the 2 new cards Cotton and Zaerog, and also Halloween Sonia with her bicolor board change + 2 haste (good for ranking dungeon and the likes). Definitely do not recommend rolling your stones here (heck, I wouldn’t even buy the 120 Yen/$1 package for the 1 stone + Halloween roll in the shop!)
Edward Elric (plus FMA REM)

As everyone should know already, the Fullmetal Alchemist Collab made a rather sudden return 2 days ago, bringing along numerous buffs with it. Amongst them, was the buff to Edward Elric. He was beginning to see a drop in his rankings on the Leader list, but these buffs put him right back on top again:
His new Leader skill:
3.5x (old: 3x) ATK and reduce damage taken by 35% when above 50% HP; 2x ATK when 4 or more combos up to 4x at 6 combos.
Also he is now Limitbreakable to Lv 110. Notably, he gains 534 attack from Lv 99 to 110!
Finally, for the solo enthusiasts out there, he also received Super Awakenings: Skill Boost, VDP, or a 7c…
All of this means his team received a ~36% buff to damage, he himself got 534 more ATK via Limitbreak, and potentially more from Super Awakenings… It’s not hard to see that he now can rival even that of Mega Dark Metatron at Tier 1.
As for the rest of the cast and the FMA REM itself, it might be worth to try your luck again at rolling the buffed Edward, or even the other buffed 6* (though you’re probably better off using the Trading Post for Ed instead) Personally, I actually managed to snag Edward within 5 rolls this time around! Good luck rolling, JP players?
Odysseus
Available in the trading post for 4 Rainbow Event Coins, Odysseus comes at a nice surprise: a decent 7×6 lead obtainable by everyone. Also, she comes as a 12x ATK lead, which I believe is one of the highest multipliers available for 7×6 at the moment. Though that comes at the cost of having to achieve 9 combos + 5 or more orb match. Hard to activate without at least 10 seconds of move time. For this reason I recommend pairing with a leader with a built in move time buff (such as Ideal), and subbing in TE subs (such as Yuna).
Overall, shadowed by the likes of Diablos, Jhoira, and Mai, but we can’t complain because she’s easily obtainable. For reference, I’ve already traded for her on my accounts already. This earned her a Tier 4 spot on our Aggregate Leader list.
I have not included the placements and my writeup of the new Mega Evos because they’ll need more time to be discovered and researched. Though I have included Sherias Roots temporarily at Tier 3, because we all know he’s going to be big: 2x HP, 16x ATK, 3 God killers…
But that is going to wrap it up for this post. Also, let me know if you’d like to see me go over the JP Stream and my thoughts on it. Thanks for reading!
DISCLAIMER: (quoted from SetsuPAD)
On all current and future Aggregate/Tier lists: “Don’t take these ratings as fact; I encourage you to simply take them as a starting point for discussion to figure out which leads are actually the best for your specific situation.”
Cards you own that are not on these Tier Lists are not automatically non-viable, and cards you own that are on these Tier Lists are not automatically viable.
These tier lists pretty much assume BEST and OPTIMAL subs (often hard-to-acquire GFEs/collab cards) tackling hard dungeons (3-Player Rushes, Alt Arena, Arena 4, etc.) Therefore, their uses largely depend on your box, your progression in PAD, and personal puzzling + comboing skills.
