Hey all! It’s been a busy month and new card releases just keep on coming. I’ve talked about NA server’s Persona Collab in my last Aggregate Sub Post, so I’m going to switch back into JP for this week.
JP server currently has the Power Pro Baseball Collab ongoing until the end of next week. With it, came the introduction of some cards worthy for the Aggregate Leader List of which I will talk about below.
One of the cards introduced in the “Power Pros” collab REM, is “Red Dragon Slugger, Sonia”. She is effectively Mega Awoken Red Sonia, in collab form. Unfortunately, I doubt we will see this collab over on the NA server; sorry guys!
Anyway, her awakenings, active, and leader skills are, in every shape and form, the same as her 6* GFE sisters, Clea and Fio. (obviously, her active and leader skill is adjusted to be Fire and Dark to match her element) The only difference here would be the sub pool that she has access to. Comparatively, red Dragon-typing sub-pool is probably close to that of Green Sonia Fio. While Red Sonia has access to powerful cards from DBDC such as Enra and No. 6, Baldin, Red Cotton, or Natsu, but in my opinion she is not flexible enough in team building.
The Aggregate Leader List currently lists her as Tier 3, but that is very possibly due to her initial release hype. I can see her belong more comfortably in Tier 4. Not worth rolling or trading for.
Not a bad 6*. His water/fire attribute and his leader skill fits perfectly with the recently released Jhoira from Magic the Gathering collab. Has a synergistic and multi-functional active skill of board unlock + full fire and water board + move time increase. Also a decent 1.5x HP/RCV boost to Fire cards, and effectively 4x attack to water cards. Needs 10 combos to achieve another 4x attack multiplier, which basically means a 7×6 board leader like Jhoira is necessary. But as a result of the color restriction, team building is a little tricky.
Overall, again not a bad card to have, hence the Tier 4 Aggregate rating, but in my opinion still too “mediocre” to the current meta and not worth rolling/trading for.
The consensus is that the other 6* from the Power Pro REM such as Haku or Athena can be good to have as a sub or inherit or otherwise, but they’re just not good enough in the current state of PAD to invest into. To accompany this, the 5* gold rolls are pretty bad. As what I always say: roll like 2-3 times to collect golds (for possible future niche uses), and celebrate if you happen to stumble upon a 6* roll. Otherwise, hold the stones for the next REM. Because recently, JP PAD has had so many Collabs and Seasonals, that new and better cards keep getting introduced.
Anyway, a shorter post this week. As always, thanks for reading!
DISCLAIMER: (quoted from SetsuPAD) on all current and future Aggregate/Tier lists: “Don’t take these ratings as fact; I encourage you to simply take them as a starting point for discussion to figure out which leads are actually the best for your specific situation.”
Cards you own that are not on these Tier Lists are not automatically non-viable, and cards you own that are on these Tier Lists are not automatically viable.
These tier lists assume BEST subs (often hard-to-acquire GFEs/collab cards) tackling hard dungeons (3-Player Rushes, Alt Arena, Arena 4, etc.) Therefore, their uses largely depend on your box, your progression in PAD, and personal puzzling and comboing skills.
