A whole lot of exciting news the past weeks and also for the weeks to come! I’ll only be focusing on the REMs, for both NA and JP, as usual (much more exciting rolling your wallet away). We’re talking June Bride, 10-stone Seasonal SGF, Youkai Watch World, and Final Fantasy REM!
And, there’s the usual JP PAD Aggregate Leader List at the end. Notable changes to the list: Tuba girl Mariel becomes Tier 3 because of the support from the recent waifu Bride Zela. More on that below!
June Bride REM (NA/JP)
June Bride Seasonal REM is currently on for both the North American and the Japanese Puzzle and Dragons server. NA PAD has it until July 7th, while JP PAD ends at the end of this week.
The team over at pad.protic.site has done a full listing of all the REM cards available, in case you aren’t familiar with the cards featured.
Puzzle and Dragons sat at the top of the Grossing charts for App Store and Google Play JP, for a brief while. This is all thanks to the new 9* waifu Bride Zela. To cut to the chase, it’s an incredible sub, just like her Wood counterpart. Three 7c awakenings and a FUA with a great active makes her the damage stick for current and future mono-light teams.
Yes, Zela is an amazing card, but what about the rest of the REM? Of the 8* cast, only Bride Rushana and Scheat may see play in farming or ranking builds. Eschamali eats heal orbs, not exactly ideal when FUA and healing for 4x HP teams.
As for 7*, only the new Panera addition stands out, for having 3 skill boosts, God and Devil killer (her own attack is a little too low however), and a 2-turn “Fujin” active.
So now if we add up the rates for all the useful cards, that comes to:
1% (Zela) + 6% (Four 8* rolls, can be trade fodder) + 2% (Panera) = 9%
… And you got yourself a decision to make. Upside is it’s only 5 stones per roll. Downside is the measly 9% rate for the “good” rolls. NA did receive 100 free stones recently, but either way I’d advise against rolling too much.
Maybe 10 rolls maximum, aiming for at least a roll within that 9%. And try to end your rolling session on a high note, meaning stopping as soon as you hit that 9% or whatever goal you’ve set for yourself. To me personally it’s just that much easier to enjoy and keep going with the PAD journey, rather than getting frustrated at bad rolls.
Oh, and if you really want Bride Zela, please only consider if you actually have a suitable Light lead for her. Leads like Dark Karin or Tuba Mariel (when the 10-stone Musicians decide to roll around for NA). And if you’re past that, then I’d give you the green light to roll in the Bride REM. Both at a chance for Zela herself, or for the four 8* trade fodders. Be prepared to pay with your wallet.
10-stone Super Godfest (NA)
Lineups courtesy of Blogging Mama/PADX team
I usually like to roll a few in the 10-stone Super GF with seasonal 8* cards in them, just because I normally wouldn’t roll them in their own REM. Because by this point, you probably have most of the regular 6* (or even 7* GFE anyway. Having some of them replaced by cute seasonal cards like Christmas Ilmina or New Years Artemis is a pretty big plus.
Worth rolling more than the traditional 10-stone Super GF. Though it’s worth noting, that Final Fantasy Collab is possibly returning for NA. Roll conservatively.
10-stone Super Godfest (JP)
Just a “normal” Super Godfest. Will always come around, and there’s nothing special about this one in particular. Would not recommend rolling unless you’re super new to the JP server.
Youkai Watch World REM (JP)
Lineups are exactly the same as last time. Not very many notable changes except for the addition of Super Awakenings on the cast. The Tier 1 “Meta” card Komasan S receives a VDP (or a TE+, if that’s more your thing) as his Super Awakening.
As for whether you should roll, I’d advise against it unless you’re lacking in the Assist department (scroll resist, cloud resist, etc.) Also, for farming and ranking enthusiasts, now’s a good time to roll and try to pick up Manjimutt for his double Evo killer Assist medal, if you don’t have him already. Also a good Assist for Training Arena 1.
Finally, just a word of note, Komasan S remains on the top of the Aggregate Leader List. Trading only costs 4 6* GFE, which in this day and age, might even be considered cheap, compared to the trend we are seeing with new collabs and cards (five 7* GFE for Zela Kitty, Bride Zela). Just something to think about. Wink.
Final Fantasy REM (JP)
Collab info by PADX team here
NA: Soon TM
Final Fantasy finally returns to Puzzle and Dragons after 2 years of waiting and anticipation. Starts next week for the JP server, running from July 1st to 15th.
This time, notably, all 6* diamond rolls are receiving an Assist Evo form. Going by 2 or 2.5% diamond rate for the 9 diamonds available, we’d be getting a whopping ~20% rate! From just looking at their multi-purpose Assist Evo forms, and at 5 stones per roll, AND not to mention all the card buffs, this REM is definitely worth looking into and rolling.
Assuming Gungho doesn’t pull a fast one on us. I will probably have a full post later next week, when we receive confirmation on the rates. Stay tuned!
DISCLAIMER: (quoted from SetsuPAD)
On all current and future Aggregate/Tier lists: “Don’t take these ratings as fact; I encourage you to simply take them as a starting point for discussion to figure out which leads are actually the best for your specific situation.”
Cards you own that are not on these Tier Lists are not automatically non-viable, and cards you own that are on these Tier Lists are not automatically viable.
These tier lists pretty much assume BEST and OPTIMAL subs (often hard-to-acquire GFEs/collab cards) tackling hard dungeons (3-Player Rushes, Alt Arena, Arena 4, etc.) Therefore, their uses largely depend on your box, your progression in PAD, and personal puzzling + comboing skills.
